Troubleshooting at home student login

Troubleshooting student login for distance learning can be challenging without seeing the student’s computer. Here are some common issues and how to resolve them.

  1. Student reports error:
    “There was an error submitting your form please check when your connection is better."
     

    Have student try:
    - Reload the page or close the tab and then log into Codesters again
    - If reload doesn’t work, make sure that cookies are enabled
    - Try another browser

  2. Student reports general error:
    ” Codesters won’t work”

    Ask clarifying questions:
    - What doesn’t work?
    - Is there an error and if so, what is it?
    - Do other sites work?
    - Has Codesters worked at home before?
    - Can you reach www.codesters.com? Make sure that there isn’t any added at the end of the URL.
    - Are you logged in?
    - Are you working in an activity? Are you getting an activity error? (i.e. not able to get the green checkmark)

    - Ask for a screen shot
    - Have student share screen if you have that option
